Groupwork
IN-PERSON
Experience community-based healing through the empowerment of group connection
In community, we find support
that helps us connect to our shared identities and find acceptance with others who genuinely understand our experiences. Group therapy brings together a small number of participants and one or more trained therapists to discuss shared difficulties in a confidential, safe setting. It blends listening, feedback, skill‑building, and the practice of new ways of relating, while reminding participants that they are not alone.
Support groups differ in that they are peer‑led gatherings. These groups provide mutual encouragement, shared stories, and informal coping strategies, but they do not offer the same level of clinical intervention or therapeutic techniques as group therapy.
