About
Meet Dr Madeleine Hayman, founder of PSUK
Madeleine founded PSUK because she believes that everyone should have access to information that can help them live the fullest, healthy life possible. Madeleine has spent over a decade studying mental and physical health and holds a PhD in Psychological Medicine. From genetics to psychological therapies, Madeleine has been dedicated to learning how and why people experience some of the most difficult ailments in a lifetime.
Her doctoral research explores why conditions such as depression and anxiety so often occur alongside obesity, diabetes and metabolic disease and what biology is behind it. She holds a post-graduate diploma, at the masters level, that allows her to work as a cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, with specialist training in eating disorders, nutritional interventions, and obesity. She is an guest lecturer at the University of Glasgow and active in the science communication community. Bringing these perspectives together, she takes a whole-person view of health that is grounded in both science and clinical experience.
At Psyche & Soma UK, she and her amazing team, and network of psychotherapists, physical trainers, nutritionists, and dietitians brings their knowledge and curiosity to help people understand their health and make the changes that matter to them.
